Momo Cloud ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our website and services.

1. Who We Are

Momo Cloud is a cloud hosting company based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We operate the website zepsoncloud.com and provide hosting, domain, email, and related services to customers in Tanzania and internationally. For data protection purposes, we are the data controller.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account Information

Full name, email address, phone number, billing address, and company name (if applicable) collected at registration.

Payment Data

We do not store raw card numbers. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processors (see Section 5). We retain transaction IDs and amounts for invoicing and legal compliance.

Domain Registration

WHOIS data required by domain registrars: name, address, email, and phone number. This may be published in the public WHOIS directory unless you opt in to WHOIS Privacy.

Support Communications

Messages you send us via tickets, email, or chat, including attachments and contact details.

Usage & Technical Data

IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration collected automatically when you use our website or services.

Server Logs

Access logs from your hosting account (IP addresses, request timestamps, error messages) retained for security and troubleshooting purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account and deliver the services you have purchased;
  • To process payments and issue invoices;
  • To send transactional emails (invoices, service notifications, password resets);
  • To provide technical support and respond to your enquiries;
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats;
  • To comply with our legal obligations under Tanzanian law;
  • To send you service-related updates and, with your consent, promotional communications.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces significant legal effects.

4. Cookies & Tracking

5. Third Parties & Sharing

We share your data only as necessary to deliver our services or comply with law. Recipients include:

  • Payment Processors: We use licensed payment gateways to handle transactions. These processors are bound by their own privacy and PCI-DSS compliance obligations.
  • Domain Registrars: WHOIS-required data is shared with the relevant domain registrar and ICANN-accredited bodies as required by registry policies.
  • Infrastructure Providers: We may use upstream data centre and network providers to deliver our services. Data is processed under appropriate agreements.
  • Law Enforcement: We will disclose data if required by a valid court order, law enforcement request, or applicable Tanzanian legislation.

We do not share your personal data with advertisers or marketing companies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after termination to comply with Tanzanian tax and financial record-keeping obligations. Support communications are retained for 3 years. Server access logs are retained for 90 days. Backup data is deleted within 30 days of account termination. You may request early deletion subject to our legal retention obligations (see Section 8).

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, hashed password storage, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable Tanzanian law, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Delete your data, subject to our legal retention requirements;
  • Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances;
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent website notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
